Note: This document is available in English only.
At AtlasPool, we believe in transparency. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
The short version: We collect only what's necessary to run the mining pool, we don't sell your data, and we're honest about what we do with it.
What Data We Collect
When you use AtlasPool, we collect the following information:
1. Bitcoin Wallet Address
What: Your Bitcoin wallet address that you configure in your mining software.
Why: This is where we send your block rewards if you find a block. Without this, we couldn't pay you.
How long: We keep wallet addresses in our mining statistics for as long as we maintain historical data.
2. Mining Statistics
What: Information about your mining activity, including:
- Hashrate (your mining speed)
- Shares submitted (proof of work)
- Worker names (the names you give your mining equipment)
- Connection timestamps (when you connect/disconnect)
- Server location you're connected to
Why: To show you your mining statistics, create charts, maintain leaderboards, and help you optimize your mining setup.
How long: We retain mining statistics to provide historical data, charts, and leaderboards. This allows you to track your performance over time.
3. Website Usage Data
What: Basic website analytics through Google Analytics, including:
- Pages you visit
- How long you stay on pages
- Your browser type and device
- General location (country/region, not precise location)
Why: To understand how people use the site and improve the user experience.
How long: Google Analytics retains this data according to their privacy policy.
4. Miner User-Agent Strings
What: The user-agent string sent by your mining software (e.g., "BraiinsOS", "CGMiner", etc.).
Why: To understand what types of mining software and hardware are connecting to our service. This helps us optimize compatibility and support.
How long: Retained with mining statistics.
Note: This is used for informational purposes only and doesn't identify you personally.
5. Browser Preferences
What: Your theme preference (color scheme) and language selection.
Why: To remember your preferences so you don't have to set them every time.
How long: Stored in your browser's local storage until you clear it.
6. Saved Wallet Address
What: Your Bitcoin wallet address (if you've entered it on the dashboard).
Why: So you don't have to re-enter your wallet address every time you visit the site.
How long: Stored in your browser's local storage until you clear it.
Note: This is stored only in your browser, not on our servers.
